Giving students a reason to believe

Patrick Briney, President, LTIA

The Leadership Training Institute of America is an opportunity for Christian youth to participate in a national leadership training program in Washington D.C., to meet and learn from national and international leaders who espouse Biblical values, to network with organizations for leadership positions, and to be trained in principles of world view warfare.

The foundation for LTIA training is that the Bible is God's Word, and, therefore, the absolute and final authority on all issues. Students are shown how humanistic world views differ from the Biblical world view and are trained in the apologetics of establishing the credibility and superiority of the Biblical world view.

Dr. Patrick Briney, veteran missionary to college campuses and founder of LTIA, states, "We live in a period of time in which secular research supports claims that Biblical world view values and teachings enhance quality of life." Briney, who earned a Ph.D. in microbiology, claims that Biblical world view positions on issues ranging from creation to marriage can be and are empirically verifiable. According to Briney, "It should not surprise us that many truths in the Bible can be proven by the scientific method and rational thought. After all, it was God who said, 'Come, let us reason together.'" LTIA students are given reasons to believe in the Biblical world view, shown how to defend it, and taught why it is reasonable.

In a culture dominated by humanistic science as its authority, students must learn how to communicate truths of the Biblical world view with the language of humanism. To this end, the LTIA training programs prepare students to effectively communicate Biblical truths to humanistic peers and teachers. They are prepared to recognize, resist, and counter humanistic criticisms of the Bible and of Biblical teachings.

LTIA is changing the world and shaping the future by inspiring leaders to defend Biblical world view principles, develop in critical thinking skills,  study world view agendas and strategies, network with influential leaders, aspire to leadership roles, and excel in Biblical leadership qualities.
